Just remember to exercise moderation, consider the occasion, and be mindful of your skin chemistry. So, go ahead and explore the world of fragrance mixing.

What makes a perfume good for someone?

  • Quality Ingredients
  • Great perfumes start with great ingredients. From natural elements like jasmine, oud, and sandalwood to expertly crafted synthetics, the magic lies in using only the highest quality materials. No compromises.

  • The Blend
  • A well-crafted perfume is all about balance. Whether simple or complex, the top, heart, and base notes should harmonize effortlessly—no one note overpowering the rest. Think Chanel No. 5—over 80 ingredients, yet perfectly blended.

  • Longevity, Sillage & Projection
  • Longevity is how long your scent lasts. Sillage is the trail it leaves behind. Projection is how far it reaches. A great perfume performs well in all three—lasting, noticeable, but never overwhelming.

  • Uniqueness
  • Everyone wants a scent that stands out. A truly great perfume smells distinct and unforgettable—turning heads and sparking compliments wherever you go.

  • Beautiful Packaging
  • Before the scent, it’s the bottle that speaks. Elegant, eye-catching packaging adds allure and reflects the beauty within. Just like Good Girl by Carolina Herrera, it is iconic inside and out.

The Smart Way to Choose and Apply Your Fragrance

Choosing a fragrance isn’t just about what smells good. It’s about finding a scent that fits your personality, lifestyle, and even the season. In this post, we’ll break down how to pick the right perfume for you, when and why to switch it up, and how to apply it for the best, longest-lasting results.

What factors should you consider when choosing a fragrance?

  1. Know your preferences. Take note of scents you enjoy, such as florals, musks, or citrus.
  2. Consider the occasion: Think about where and when you will be wearing the fragrance.
  3. You need to test your fragrance. Don’t buy a fragrance based solely on its description or packaging. Not just one! Test multiple fragrances. It’s a good idea to test several fragrances before making a decision. This can help you compare scents and find the one that you love the most.

Should your fragrance change with the season or occasion?

Depending on the season, it’s entirely possible to adapt your perfume application to continue leaving a captivating scent, regardless of the outside temperature.

How do you test and wear a fragrance properly?

Spray the fragrance on key pulse points: the left side of your neck, down the center, the right side of your neck, and on both collarbones with your shirt on.

Different Types of Fragrances

Fragrances come in many forms, each with unique qualities. Scared of projecting your scent? Let’s explore how they differ and when to use them.

What makes them different from each other?

The strength of a perfume refers to the concentration of essential oils in the fragrance. Typically, the higher the concentration of oils, the longer the scent will last on your skin. The perfume has the highest concentration of essential oils with around 20 to 30%. Next, Eau de Parfum (EDP) follows with around 15 to 20%, while l’Eau de toilette is lighter with 5-15%. Lastly, Eau de Cologne (EDC) with between 2 to 4% and Eau Fraiche have even less: 1-3% of concentration of essential oils. The less concentration the less the odor will last.

When should you use each type?

Heavier fragrances like perfume are perfect for big events or for a nice evening for a date. Eau de Parfum is great for a everyday use. Never too much because it is still really heavy on essential oils. Eau de toilette & Eau de cologne are for daytime. They are ideal for casual outings, summer days, etc. Eau Fraiche is used for body spays, for clothing to smell good. It can be used to keep rooms fresh.

How long does each type last on your skin?

Perfumes are heavier and oilier. It is said to last longer, and can last up to 24 hours. Eau de Perfume can last up to 6 to 8 hours. Eau de toilette is much more affordable than eau de parfum, and can last 2-4 hours. Due to the low combination of essential oils and high percentage of alcohol, it tends to dissipate quickly. Eau de cologne can last up to 2 hours and fairly inexpensive.‘Eau Fraiche’ means fresh water. The main ingredient is water. In such reason, it can last up to an hour.
